A strong believer in art and technology integration into the curriculum, Michelle Parks has been incorporating them in both her instruction and student/participant learning in her art classes and professional development for many years. Her journey using technology for instruction began around 10 years ago with the LMS Edmodo. This progressed to Google Classroom and Ms. Parks has now been using Canvas for about 5 years.  Ms.Parks has experience teaching art at all three levels, elementary, middle, and high school where she currently delivers instruction. She was an A+ Fellow with the A+ Schools from 1999-2014 and has currently been a lead facilitator over the past 3 summers for ARCH Camp where selected title 1 schools participated in 4-day professional development, exploring ways to integrate the arts in their curriculum. Ms. Parks has a Master's in Fine Arts from UNCP and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNCG. She says one of her favorites parts of her profession is getting to share with other teachers and she always learns something new from working with them!
